Tlalpam is located in the state of Mexico D.F.. It was the 52nd largest postal district (third smallest), based on the number of stamps used, and 50th by total value of all stamps used. The average cost of the stamps used was 1.78 reales. Tlalpam had about 4,700 inhabitants around 1900.

Tlalpam had no sub-offices.

All dos reales stamps sent were from plate I. Only one copy of the un real stamp is known to exist today, all the other denominations are unknown.

The stamps were overprinted MEXICO, and can only be recognized by their cancel.

On average, the stamps have normal margins for the issue.

Forgeries from Tlalpam exist. A MEPSI certificate is recommended.
